This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Shafkat Chowdhury, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.linkedin.com/pub/shafkat-chowdhury/1/229/315.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Shafkat Chowdhury requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself, as you did at Shafkat Chowdhury. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. WuhWuzDat 07:52, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Shafkat Chowdhury. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. WuhWuzDat 16:31, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How to verify permission

[edit]

Hi. I see that you claim to be the copyright holder of File:Schowdhury.JPG. Since that image is previously published elsewhere on the web, we will need you to verify that you are the copyright holder. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the process. If that verification is not supplied within seven days, I'm afraid we will have to delete the image as a copyright problem. We have no means of verifying people's identity within Wikipedia and must do so through these external processes.

While I'm here, I do need to note that if you are the copyright holder, you are likely to be close to the subject of the article. We have guidelines related to conflict of interest. Please be sure to read through them and to follow them when writing about yourself, your enterprises, your friends or colleagues. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:23, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Shafkat Chowdhury, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page American (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Marquis Who's Who

[edit]

We generally don't consider entries in the Marquis versions of Who's Who books as particularly notable. See[1] for an old discussion. I'm not convinced your subject meets the criteria at WP:People - you might want to find WP:RS sources discussing him in depth and add those. Dougweller (talk) 18:13, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking and moving AfDs

[edit]

Please do not blank and move AfDs again, as you did to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shafkat Chowdhury and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shafkat Chowdhury (2nd nomination). I have now undone the blanking and moved Wikipedia:Shafkat Controversy and Wikipedia:Shafkat history back to their original locations. The Article is already deleted. Why do you want to keep User talk ?

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Shafkat chowdhury requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shafkat Chowdhury (2nd nomination). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Request reason:

I am appealing to get myself unblocked for editing because I am not promoting someone but I am telling the truth of a person who deserve his biography to be published in wikipedia because he has contribution for aerospace high tech industry Stdsac (talk) 18:28, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Please let us know how you personally come to own the copyright on File:Shafkat Chowdhury at 2009.JPG which I note is used by Chowdhury on his LinkedIn profile. Alternatively, explain how you will adhere to WP:COI. I'll also note that Chowdhury has accomplished far more with his life than I have but doesn't appear to meet the threshold outlined at WP:NOTE.
